winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

It's because he isn't as high profile and his case didn't get the media coverage.

Pryce was booed with every touch, whilst Bird's appearance passed off without a whimper, albeit that Bird limped off part way through his game.

Why ?

Surely treat all thugs / convicts / wife beaters the same and should be treated that way (booed ?) or are the ever-parochial rugby league fans so one-eyed as to ignore indivdual because of either who he is or the team he is playing against ?

Maybe because his club did not have the moral conviction to ban him like Cas and HKR have done with their offenders, they could have given him a month to show their distaste with him.

Thats exactly what it comes down to imo. People dislike Pryce because of who he plays for or a dislike for him. The only reason most wanted to see Saints punish Pryce was so Saints would suffer rather than anything to do with the crime itself it seems.

i dont like him for the 2 crimes he has committed, thought he should have done time for the first one imho, also dislike him for the testicle grabbing tackle the other year!!! if cas ever signed him i'd still boo him everytime he got the ball :x :x the man (term used very lightly)is a disgrace imo

I hope you went or are going on the Wigan board to tell them the same thing over the Feka conviction. What about Bailey and co while you are at it you had better visit the Leeds board as well.

Nothing to do with the teams they play for, it's how good they are. You don't boo a bad player, it's that simple. Bird is dog turd as a player and Pryce is arguably the best in the competition. This is what brings out the boos from the fans.
