Aside from the usual coach journeys for away games, the tendency at Leeds these days is to advertise most trips as "corporate" events rather than supporter ones.
The trip to Perpignan for instance, is a "corporate" trip and (IIRC) costs upwards of £500+VAT (the club effectively charter a plane from Jet2 and try to get 'supporters' to cover the cost of both their ticket and the ticket of one of the players).
I imagine that a weekend in Edinburgh booked through the Hetherington Travel Co would have been sold in a similar way.

You could even take it to the ski slope, have a winter event. Lets face it once Cas are relegated through the lack of a decent stadium, you're all going to need something to do on a sunday.

They were having fun, when asked to tone it down a bit they said sorry and calmed down, jeeze do people want fans to sit in their seat with a miserable look on their boat?

I didn't say it was, but it won't stop us getting another franchise.

I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.

That's if you're daft enough to pay the club prices ... Which I am not.
I also don't live in Leeds, so I have the additional expense of getting to Leeds to rendezvous with trips / or not have a couple of pints whilst I am at the game bacuse I'll have to drive home afterwards. Whilst I am not making that an excuse, I knew of a coach trip with the Leeds Supporters Club that was going for around the same price that I spent on the train. However, with dodgy knees and the thought of sitting jammed up on a coach seat for the best part of 4 hours, compared to the train where I could get up for a stroll / coffee or general move around when I wanted, I know what I'd prefer.
I'm trying to make constructive enhancements to the weekend ... A special train from Lancashire and Yorkshire, reasonably priced for the day and for the weekend and departing at a reasonable time after the last game (say 45 minutes after the last game from Haymarket) could be well-supported.
We're away in Catalan in a month and many people are having to cut their cloth to suit these days and given that my weekend there last year cost around £200, something comparable with a Magic Weekend cost, personally I'd chose France.
If people want to go and spend a couple of hundred pounds on tickets and accomodation in Scotland for MW, then I've no problem with that. Indeed, several of my mates did so, however there are still fans who are not generally 'supporting' the games by not being present. All I am doing is suggesting why those people don't come and possible soloutions to make it attractive for them to attend next time.
