The only thins that i could think were missing were Hog Roast and Jacket Potatoes, Veggies could have been slightly better catered for but it kinda knocks Cardiff's catering into a cocked hat...

Now you are talking tripe greame, i remember quite clearly paying £3.50 for a slice (Yes one slice) of pizza inside the millenium stadium now thats value.
Funny how i dont remember any other catering other than the ice cream vendor outside at Cardiff but i had been on a two day bender throwing Wire midgets down a hill. And laughing at Hull FC Fans dressed as clowns.

5) Start the sunday games at 11.30. Last train south was 8.45 from Haymarket/ 8pm if travelling back to Yorkshire/ Lancashire

3) Would put MM in school half-term. Possibly a good idea. Worth checking compettition from other sports. Apparently may day saw a big run in Edinburgh, so compettition over accomodation.

5) Makes sence, though possibly have 4 games on saturday and finish with a game that KO at 8pm or so.

Thats fair enough then. We didn't walk all the way round the stadium but stayed up at the south stand end. The only outlets we saw there were the burger/ hotdog/ steak sandwich and drink stalls.

As for the Hog roast we got that in Edinburgh on the sunday

Aye, we missed quite a few of them the first day, but as pie, burger and hot dog would have been the popular ones you can understand it.

Book a hotel or a club trip then, the whole idea was fans staying in an area and having fun.

By the same token, in the current climate, there are a lot of fans who generally would not have bothered if it had been the only option was to stay for the whole weekend.

The last train back to York from Edinburgh was at 8pm on Sunday night, so enough for me to see the Leeds game, lave and stroll back to Haymarket in plenty of time. Given Leeds first two appearances at MM were the last game of the night, it meant either a long coach trip back or not bothering.

I remember back in the 90s, when RL Internations were starting to be played at Wembley again, about the RFL and various RL Magazines laying on special charter trains to Wembley ... How about the same again ? I was lucky enough to get get cheap tickets (£23 return), but I am sure there is someone who could do something comparable and make some form of return on it ?

The problem with the derby games was the fact the they were played during the Magic Weekend, but for a Leeds fan last season we played Bradford twice during regular rounds and again as the 'extra' fixture as part of the league structure. With MM on top, frankly everyone was getting sick of the sight of Bradford. Maybe this was the reason for the change ?

Is there room for an 8th game, perhaps between Scotland (most of who's players play for NL sides and maybe an NL select team too ?). Make it a blank weekend for most of the NL (although Gateshead Vs Doncaster was a good idea for the Friday night) and move those fixtures to a cup weekend somewhere else in the calendar ?

Having visited Cas on a number of occasions, and knowing there isn't that much to do, I think you should introduce this to the village, it will go down a storm. You could even invite your cousins from the nearby village of Fev to join in. Such fun to be had.

You could even take it to the ski slope, have a winter event. Lets face it once Cas are relegated through the lack of a decent stadium, you're all going to need something to do on a sunday.

I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.

I forgot you were a Leeds supporter and your club trips cost a bleedin' fortune, didn't other clubs have reasonable coach trips for day fans? Quins supporters arrange the odd away coach and it runs at about £25 for most away games.
