Mayweather is a complete idiot, he could not teach a clown to be funny! In 2nd round Ricky started off well but did not expect the punch, which Manny had been working on.
Only a few secs left in the round too, just goes to show that 1punch does change a fight.
Most people are saying he will retire, Froch, Mayweather, Graham and Roach have all said it.
Personaly I hope he has 1 more fight in ENGLAND so he can hopefuly go out on a win.
Mayweather V Pac-Man will be one hell of a fight if it does happen. I know who i will want to win
You could tell after the first 30 seconds that the fight wouldn't last 3 rounds. Hatton went out as he did vs FJM Jnr. He looked aggitated on his way out to the ring and clearly wasn't in the right frame of mind to execute a game plan. Whether he even had one to execute from Snr is another matter.
All the things Hatton promised he didn't deliver. He couldn't work the jab because he didn't have the reach or the hand speed. Defensively he was awful. Hands at chest height and his head just didn't move at all. With Pacquiao's hand speed, the fight was only ever going to go in one direction if Ricky didn't keep his hands up.
The punch that finished was superb. Clearly Manny had worked on that a number of times, and I don't think there's many people in boxing who could have taken that. It looked worrying for Hatton.
Must applaud Pacquiao and Roach. Freddy clearly studied Hatton well, and was confident that he wouldn't fight like he did vs Malignaggi. As Roach said, he's the best trainer in the world because Manny's the best boxer. Roach came up with the tactics to comfortably beat Hatton, Pacquiao executed perfectly.
The role Snr played on the defeat has to be questioned. The worst thing you can possibly do as a boxer is to go into the ring angry, and for FJM Snr to turn up late to the MGM is pathetic. Ricky didn't look happy at the weigh in, and on fight night he looked p*ssed off about something; Senior I suspect. As I said before the fight, I also don't think Senior has the boxing brain to out think Roach. The tactics were completely wrong. Hatton looked like he did under Graham.
As for the future, I would like Hatton to go out on a win in front of a sold out Wembley. However, is there any point in beating an unknown? As a few people have said, I wouldn't mind him teaching Khan a thing or two; not even Roach can mask a chin as poor as Khan's.
One thing's for sure, Hatton and Senior won't be working together again.

Totally afree with that, I said the exact same thing.
Infact the whole post sums it up.
Some time ago Khan said he would beat Hatton easily as he would be too fast for him etc. Would be great to see the fight but doubt it will happen
Gutted for Ricky although he went out with the wrong tactics and he left himself open everytime which left is easy for Pacman, i was surprised Hatton made it to the 2nd round, he started the 2nd round off well but Pacquiao got him with a fantastic shot
Hopefully Ricky will have one more fight maybe the loser or Mayweather/Marquez as it would be a shame if he retires after a big defeat like that, if Ricky decides to retire tho hes been a legend for boxing and has had a great career and is one of my favourites sportman
If Mayweather beats Marquez, hopefully he will give Pacman a go what a great fight that would be

I suspect you're right, but if Khan is as good as he thinks he is, he'd do well to take it.
A lot of boxing fans think Khan is crap in all honesty. If he could beat Hatton, he'd be taken a lot more seriously.
It won't happen though because Roach won't let it. He's not going to throw a kid in Khan in with Ricky Hatton in a fight that will bring the curtains down on Hatton's career.
Hatton would destroy Khan, and I think Roach knows it.

You think? I reckon Khan could give it a good go and would not be suprised if he won. He is a good boxer, but can he take a good punch? Some say he has a glass jaw and if Hatton could catch him with a power shot it would be like Prescott over again.
Would deffo try and get tickets if he has a fight in England though
