Everyone is raving about our young find. Yes he is good for his age but surely I personaly think he is overrated . What is his job half back ? Set up trys get team round the field when has he done any of the former. I cannot for the sake of me remember Myler putting anyone at all through a gap to score a try or even make a break. I maybe wrong but is he genuinely as good as burrow or long I'm afraid the answer is a emphatic no !

So looking at your post he's young and good for his age but not as good as Burrow and Long who are both much older.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Infact pack his bags and send him back to us, im sure Robbie Paul can guide you around the park for the rest of the year.

You talk utter tripe.

Love a brew.

The lad is still learning his trade and from what i can see is doing very well.

I thought he had another really dangerous game today(yesterday now) but my mom was Ratchford......i was really impressed with him.

Myler is a cracking prospect and has heaps of natural talent. He is the best young scrum half in the country and I can definately see him being the future England scrum half, if he fulfills that talent. He is only 18 and is perhaps as good as any scrum half that I have seen at that age. However he does have faults.

Firstly his defence is awful and he has been at fault for tries in every game this season. This doesnt seem to be getting any better and is usually because he is out of position or because he flies up out of the defensive line. Surely this is something the coaching staff should be working on and the fact that he is getting no better at this it makes me wonder is this down to a lack of coaching or is Myler just taking no notice?

With the ball in hand we know what raw talent he has. However I do get the feeling that he is begining to believe his own hype a little too much. He has got far too greedy and looks to go himself or kicks for himself far too much and as the opening poster alluded to he doesnt seem interested in trying to set others up. Contrast this to Ratchford who, whilst not having anywhere near as much natural talent, has a much better idea of when to pass and when to go himself. Again this makes me wonder if the coaching staff are doing anything about this or is it Myler just taking no notice?

This isnt to knock Myler because for an 18 year old he is doing fantastic. However he is still far from the finished article and does have many faults.

Myler will soon be known as the most overrated player in the game, because he is young and doing well, so everybody will want to shoot him down. In 2007, Kevin Penny was supposedly "the closest thing British rugby had produced to Martin Offiah" which was ridiculous overhype and unsurprisingly when he went through a few hard times everybody joins the bandwagon of saying he isn't a rugby player.

Myler is going to cop it big time before long, everybody likes him at the moment but they will turn on him. Luke Robinson was everyones favourite at one point and in the end they said he was overrated, just like Thorman at one point was a popular choice for GB amongst forum posters!

We have such a dearth of good young players in our game that it's no surprise he is being over-hyped.

We won't know for sure how good he'll be until he is at least 21/22 and until he gets a better pack around him.

I suggest that you visit either your nearest branch of Specsavers or even better watch the match(if you ever do).

Good post. I wonder if that's what the original poster was hinting at, but perhaps didn't put so well?

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book
