But the Catalan Dragons team is representative of a whole region , therefore they have 7 million people to draw fans from , so basically a crowd of 7/8,000 is pish poor

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

You do not know the history of this region. They have been playing rugby league in southwestern France for 75 years. Towns like Carcassone and Perpignan are rugby league heartlands.
Lille on the other hand, has not been playing rugby league for 75 years. It is not a heartland, but rather a potential area for rugby league expansion after Toulouse, Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux and perhaps Avignon enter Super League.

Bloody hell, it's either gonna have to be a 20-team SL or many current English SL clubs are gonna bite the dust if you get your way!
Paris?! Could have sworn they've been tried before.
