I really dont get it.

We have the best chairman in the league with the most money.

We have the best facilities in the league at our disposal.

We have the most fans in the league.

We have one of the worst teams in the league.

What i witnessed last night was a pure awful display from nearly every player except for a small minority. Why did we look flat from the kick off? we are Widnes Vikings playing at home and we show no passion or pride which hurts the most. Wildbore seems to have removed his comment from his facebook and i do hope that he is sacked the next time he goes in (i have already emailed the club with my thoughts on that one). Why is Webster so garbage and nearly every opposition halfs get control of us, the recruitment has been shambolic this year and it is clear we have no team spirit. Already i can see this year being a total waste. Halifax and Barrow will contest the finals and once again we have made a right cock up of it all. Some players in the team are simply not good enough to represent Widnes and should be removed.

Im really really gutted about the whole situation.

If Webster isnt getting on with players and he doesnt like it here then get rid, Wildbore im also expecting to be sacked early next week. Lee Doran is also having a shocking season and is borderline with me at the moment in terms of getting rid of him. What has happened to Mark Smith? i feel sorry for Gaskell/Gannon/Flynn/Ostick.

Not good enough for a club like ours.

Love a brew.

I feel for you. In respect, i have removed my trolling post aimed in your direction.

As an outsider, I can't understand what is going on at your club. At the start of the season i was hoping my club could come within 6 or 9 points of Widnes come September. Every other club apart from Widnes were also-rans.

The biggest statement Widnes could have made against what happened last July was to come out and dominate this league. Shockingly it just hasn't happened.

Has your Chairman made a statement? Is he pro-active with the fans? What is the general message coming from the club? There is a long way to go but you've certainly stumbled on the starting blocks. As to the future - i doubt very much i'll be writing a post like this in May 2010. I expect you will have turned your lethargic start this year around completely.

Its a shame for the Fans more than anything as it seems each year or so there is much promise for Widnes yet they constantly fail to deliver on the field-often when it matters! This has probably been so for over a decade or so if not longer. True they were treated like crap way back in the mid 90s by the RFL. However the club, players and coaching staff over the years have failed to move the club forward. It has had chances to get in SL before but then failed to do much with it.
The Franchise system is the biggest Scam going and really was out of Widnes hands. maybe Widnes fans are glad that Widnes are not today in SL the way things are! I also thought like Little Rich that Widnes would be to a man determined to show the RFL and others that they were wrong to ignore Widnes for SL. However it looks on the outside that Widnes have a team full of individuals. Smith, Kohe Love, Webster, Gannon etc have SL experience and should be top players at this level. I feel this season is more or less drifting away from Widnes with 3 losses and yet to play at places like Barrow, Toulouse and home to Fax etc. Thats added pressure for next year! I think Widnes need a clear out but that really cant be done until next year.

Is it that Widnes are a team of individuals who seemingly lack team spirit?

Do people feel its the players at fault or does it go deeper (Coaching Staff and Backroom Staff)?

What do people feel is needed to turn Widnes around?

I do not think Cullen is the man for Widnes as when I ever listen to him on Sky he waffles on and on and you lose the point he is trying to make-is this the case with the Players?

At what point do people decide sod this? It could be that the next home game Widnes struggle to get 2500 for example

I feel sorry for Smith. You won't find a more honest hard working player than him. Look at what he's got to work with, players can't even look each other in the eye let alone rally each other. It has to be very disheartening for him when he's put his heart and soul into the side all these years.

there is still time to turn it round. What hurts the fans is it's like 2005 all over again. Too many players on good money for this league but no heart or feeling for the club. The selection process and the unbalanced nature of our sqquad sugggests that we were not ready for SL no matter how much the fans want it. Crikey, we aren't even a force in this division!

When I contributed my tenner for the Fax cause, it was to make a strong Halifax because strong heartland clubs are the only force that will get rif of licensing - didn't want you to be this strong though!!

Interesting choice of words there in 'most' and not 'best'

Widnes fans are very average compared to other clubs. I don't think that there is anything that Widnes fans haven't moaned about in the past 10 years.

This is history. This is history. Right here. Right now. This is history.

I thought it was Widnes?
All games are winnable, whats hard to understand about that.

Wakefield turn over a big club every season and i see no reason why Widnes can't do the same.
Are there any more clubs that have suffered so many traumas? It's a hard life being a Widnes fan :BOOHOO: :FRUSRATED:
