winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

Sheffield V Salford

Eagles were winning 24-10 but was clawed back to 24-20. Our defence had been awesome, and we seemed to spend the entire second half defending, every time we got the ball we seemed to drop it on the first tackle. We held them out and held them out...until in the last seconds it's lobbed out wide and it's try time in the corner. 24-24. Fortunately they missed the kick but I was still gutted.

Nothing compared to the challenge cup semi in 1998, when you snatched the win now that was the most upsetting day of my life

Another sickner was against Warrington at the willows in the CC when Alan Hunte scored a try 9 minutes into injury time, it was live on grandstand aswell IIRC.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr

In 2005 Whitehaven scored with practically the last play I think it was Nanyn who scored it from a bomb to make us finish 3rd and effectively stop us being promoted.

If Loughlin had converted the first half tries we'd have been well clear at HT instead of just 12-6,but as it was it was 14-14 with 2 minutes to go and then Hanley made a midfield break and threw an outrageous forward pass inside to Goodway(missed by Mr R.Whitfield) who galloped away under the posts for the clincher.

That's the one.

Joynt Vs Bradford must have been a heart-breaker for the Bulls fans.
