But you have presented no counter case!

As I wrote earlier, you need the comfort of the things as they are, rather than the uncertainty of an unknown future.

"It is a mental ailment especially strong in west Yorkshire, but also in the other depressed neighbourhoods all over Britain.

The flatcappers are simply frightened little people with no imagination!"

This goes against my better judgement but here goes

What are we ' afraid ' of ?

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Being relegated to a second tier, and hence permanent second tier status in the game.

You flatcappers cannot accept that the M62 corridor is not all that important to the little people all over Britain who sustain our game with their TV viewership and Sky subscriptions, and to the big economically powerful people with their corporate sponsorships. Only six M62 clubs have the 10,000 fans minimum support base, and even they cannot sustain their clubs with gate receipts alone!

If we are to survive in the era of economic globalisation, we have to become a national and a global sport!

Not in one instant move, but in concerted steps with a strategic vision in mind.

Not afraid off something we already have

As regarding the national and Global bit , that will have no bearing on my club or it's future so of no concern to me or fans of similar clubs

HTH

It doesn't help at all. You have given no reason -- not no good reason, but no reason --- why you think my expansion goals are crazy.

Just think what northern hemisphere rugby league could look like in 2015 under my plan:

SUPER LEAGUE

Leeds
Bradford
Hull FC
Hull KR
Huddersfield
Calder United
Manchester United RL
Warrington
Wigan
St Helens

Newcastle-Gateshead Thunder
Sheffield Eagles
Harlequins RL
London Olympic
Celtic Crusaders

Les Catalans Dragons
Toulouse Spacers
Barcelona RL

That would be an 18 team competition with 10 heartland clubs and 8 expansion clubs.

Two more French clubs (Paris and Lyon) in the offing.

CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE

Salford
Wakefield
Castleford
Featherstone
Widnes
Halifax
Leigh
Whitehaven
Barrow

+ 1-2 English development clubs in preparation for SL (e.g. Coventry/ Birmingham/Leicester );
+ 1-2 Celtic development clubs in preparation for SL (e.g. Dublin, Edinburgh);
+ 1-2 continental European development clubs in preparation for SL (e.g. Paris, Lyon)

I dont have to help , I dont care what expansion happens to RL , it is beyond my control and yours

Salford RLFC
Folly ARLFC

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr
