True Rugby fans just need to either laugh at him or ignore him. If he wants to act like a dick-apparently there is somebody who constantly supports fev who is like this then thats his problem. Rugby League has no place for violence on the terraces.

if he wants to shout abuse at us for 80mins maybe a good beating is what he needs to teach him a lesson, to preserve the good nature of rl

Why do you think crowd violence and physical abuse is OK? Hitting people is not OK and to be honest achieves often nothing but making a problem worse If somebody acts like a dick and has a big gob so what. As long as he does not hit anybody or cause a major problem what is your problem? If he annoys you so much move away. There is no need to hit anybody at a Rugby League game-its a family sport!

yes im biased, but watching it when I got back in, he was giving warnings to Fev players, more than he was ours. He seemed to blow up straight away against us.

Also, why did he allow the Fev players to constantly back chat & straight out swear at him (as they did after Shad went over for our last try)? Seems weak when it comes to fronting up to players

Tony Fax wrote:Childs was weak for both sides. Made some very poor calls, most annoying for me when they pushed and pushed and pushed Barker (?) back about 20 metres and he decided to shout "held" the spilt second he offloaded to Big Frank. Childs should have seen was NOT a penalty (it was a clear cut case of "simultaneous action" and should have immediately waved play on) but called it so. It got to the stage where I was waiting for the next dodgy call which damages the entertainment somewhat. A bit of a "pinky and perky" double act he had with court jester hicks.

Strange really but he said he called held because a Halifax player had added weight to the tackle. Funny then that when Barker was originally tackled Penky clearly adds weight to the tackle. Why not call held then. Also in the second half Barrie Mac picked up on the two incidents where a Fev player was tackled and was aloud to carry on. The first the Fev player has a Fax player on his ankles and is on his knees a few seconds pass and even though the ball carrying arm hadnt touch his momentum was stopped and it should have been called held.
Child and Hicks are just not very good end of.

I thought Childs did well and was consistent. it was a great game to watch so he couldn't have disrupted the flow that much. To be honest, he could have doubled the penalties as neither side was ever on-side!
