Childs was weak for both sides. Made some very poor calls, most annoying for me when they pushed and pushed and pushed Barker (?) back about 20 metres and he decided to shout "held" the spilt second he offloaded to Big Frank. Childs should have seen was NOT a penalty (it was a clear cut case of "simultaneous action" and should have immediately waved play on) but called it so. It got to the stage where I was waiting for the next dodgy call which damages the entertainment somewhat. A bit of a "pinky and perky" double act he had with court jester hicks.

If I'm right in thinking, it should be a scrum with Fax head and feed if the ball was passed at the same time as the ref called held.

I thought that as well but I gave Fax the benfit of the doubt because it could be argued the ball was actually in mid air when Childs shouted held. Big Frank was in the clear.
The ref was terrible. When are they going to realise people are not there to watch them? A lot of those penalties could've been avoided by simply talking to the players. Fair enough some are blatant and should be given, but they ruin the game by constantly blowing for minor infingements.
