Any chance someone could explain to me why Fax deserve to get in ahead of Widnes at all, never mind 1 year into a 3 year licence system?

Cause Halifax is in a nice location with good views and it has EUREKA!

Less than 1/3 into the season and Halifax have qualified for and won a Grand Final in the Championship....you really couldn't make it up

The number one priority used to be performances on the rugby pitch which resulted in promotion to the top flight, that is now a minor consideration.

To reiterate, I don't personally believe that the Halifax club are behind this as I don't think we are ready anyway but could well be in another couple of years.

Much as I hate to agree with TB (there's a first :D ), I think politics may be behind this but I'm a bit unsure how it will win votes for the honourable members for Islington North and Hayes and Harlington who have probably never heard of RL. :?

TBH I think John McDonnell, Jeremy Corbyn and Alan Simpson are just EDM junkies who'll sign anything.

Doubt everything, even this

Expect more and more 'motion backing' by Labour, on just about anything proposed, in the hope that it will keep them in office.

However in the real world, this has about as much chance of happening as Labour actually winning the next election.

No !!!!

On behalf of all sane Halifax fans i can categorically state that this is a complete embarassment !!

I'll wager that none of these MP's attend matches. Holy crap this is bad. Cringeworthy. It's as bad as an outburst from a Leigh Chairman

I used to live away trips to Halifax. I never lived in the 50s but visiting Halifax gives you an idea of what it was like and I mean that in a good way!

Indeed. If stupidity did make way for common sense and the RFL put Fax in next year - this great team which is doing so well in the Championship (but has won nowt yet) would be dismantled anyway and, without a millionaire backer, would face the same fate as the current strugglers. Two more years and a half decent attempt at getting a 4,000+ average might see us considered - along with other prospective candidates.
