With the towns (manufactured, bought, no local input) introduction of Premiership Football, IMO there's been a feeling of sitting on the fence from the council and town when it has come to promoting game that has made this town famous & successful for over a hundred years.

Now we have an opportunity ourselves to put more emphysis on linking the the Rugby League club and the towns people, schools and other organizations now that the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation has received confirmation from the Charity Commission earlier this month that its application for the Foundation has been successful.

It'll be interesting to see the impact of the charity and how we plan to fund it.

Either way, great news...And I look forward to contributing towards it.

I know that this is Mick Hogan's baby and he is very passionate about using this charity as a way of providing facilities and opportunities for improved participation within the game.

This is a non-profit organisation and will be giving out everything it gets to the community. Should work well.
