You're correct, Chris. We don't want to see another awful slanging match on here.

A couple of your fans hijacked a thread, which had nothing to do with the Crusaders, and turned it into a war of words that was just uncalled for. It was so bad that most of it has now been deleted.

One of them has now started this thread, 'Widnes Fans' in the hope he can start another row here, so he can run to the VT and cry about bitter Widnes fans.

That's all I will say on the subject, except to say that I hope no Widnes fans react to the inevitable slurs which are likely to be made against our fans and our club. Hopefully certain people will see a bit of sense and stop trying to inflame hatred.

On thread drift:

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

Mate:

1. It's only a bit of banter.

2. When we got the franchise you lot were having ago at us.

3. Some of your fans put a video on youtube saying Crusaders fans thinking they are hardknocks. (Don't know why)

4. I can't believe I was kicked from your forum even though the other anoymynous Celt was saying way worse stuff than me

5. And I don't mean it.

6. And I can't believe you just said we were having ago at your club :O when you were slagging us off when we had the franchise.

Let's leave it lads.

This has been done to death many a time and I'd like to think a lot of us have moved on. We don't need the $hite dragging back up again.

If it was union fans on here having a pop it would be different but I think it is pathetic when league fans try to score points off one another even though I have been guilty of a wind up or two in my time.

Good luck for the season Widnes.

i know this thread has nothing to do with me or any fax fans but i can see why the widnes fans are upset.

you and salford got franchises to super league at the end of last season even though i can think of 3 teams in the league who had better stadiums than both salford and celtic.

celtic got in because of location alone and there was also something about bringing more welsh players into the game as well which i have seen no evidence of at all so far, i know you have only been up and running as a club for a few years so it will take time to get players coming through the ranks. its not really celtic i am having a go at i think everyone on here knew you were dead certs for the franchise as soon as they announced it was going to happen.

it is salford personally i cant see how salford got into super league over widnes, widnes have a location that has st helens around which would have been good for location where as salford have a whole host of teams around them. widnes have a better stadium than salford. i cant really see how they got in ahead of widnes to be honest.

i'm just waiting for the next franchise to come around so halifax can hopefully bring super league back to the shay.

P.S. no hard feelings anyway. good luck and hope you get that first win soon.

I've no problems with Celtic being there this season - 2nd best team in NL1 last season, good luck to them.

It's the licensing system itself I object to and the scrapping of P&R. I just wish there were a lot more (100,000 more to be honest) who would rail against the RFL's decision so we can go back to being a proper sport instead of a Magners League lookalike.

The fear of relegation is something good, not bad and the British need it in their sporting psyche.
