dont be counting your chickens you have got to win next week before you even think of winning a grand final

Well done Miners on going so far unbeaten.

We don't count any chickens as there are always flat cappers who rubbish our achievements from grass roots up. All we know as a club is if Leigh Miners were in their first season at this level and finishing second they'd be crowing about it too. When it comes down to it given the position you are in and the age of the club you should be winning the Championship from this position. You were probably favorites for the title and Championship at the start of the season so have lived up to that tag up to now. We on the other hand would have been far from and have surpassed expectation in only our first season as the colts lads did last year. Just wonder what our Welsh kids can do if we actually get a bit of experience under our belts ay. I'm confident enough we can shake rugby league up if we get players into our set up early enough from a much larger pool of talent than any other rugby league club can call upon.

Well said CruCru..... our first season in the competition and we finish second. Given that the flat cappers feel we've got the RFL in our pocket I guess they think we control the weather also!!
First year doing well and the same for last year with the colts but again if you're not doing it in or around the M62 it's not noteable. Bloody upstarts getting a SL place and then getting junior teams that actually play well, who do we think we are eh?

I will check a little more closely before I come in all guns blazing again.

prickwall is just another of those "it's our game so nobbudy else is allowed in" knobs who thinks we're in for special treatment.

well done to celtic on winning the grand final!!!

not been to the game today as i was playing myself, but from what i have been told celtic were the better team and fully deserved the victory, think miners had 1 lad out so there are no excuses at the end of the day doesnt matter if miners were unbeaten all season or not, the fact is miners had to turn up and win a grand final in which they failed to do so today, so once again well done to celtic.

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Great win for the lads.

The Colts did exactly the same last year and turned it on when it mattered most.

Over the moon for the lads.
