We all knew London wouldn't beat them, but Cas had the Indian sign over Leeds,we even knocked them out off the play offs at their place before doing the same to Wigan. That was one hell of a Cas side under Raper but they screwed it up in both semis.

To be fair though, that touchdown Salford scored to knock them out the Cup sounded like it broke a few hearts!

We were actually beating Saints, we were winning by 2 (IIRC), on Sky and we had started to do the 10 second countdown from the sky clock. Saints had the ball, we got to 2 seconds left and Saints launched the ball into the air. We failed to catch it, Cunningham somehow got it and just barged over the line as the hooter went. It went to the video ref, and I will never forget running down to the front of the stand to get a view of the screen. Cue Saints fans celebrating like they'd won the cup before the video ref had decided. We knew it was a try.

It's always Saints games I cry at :(

The worst part though was that they'd scored 3 tries in 7 minutes.
Bridges grubber through on the 20 when youre winning by 2 with 5 to go was worse.

The ultimate one .. "It's wiiiide to West!"

Les Quirk 1989 Challenge Cup Semi.

Les Quirk has a lot to answer for!! He did the same thing to us in a League match at Knowsley Rd in the early 90s. We thought we'd snagged a rare victory at KR. How wrong we were. :(

That Saints one in the play-off game at the Boulevard was a real pisser too. I'm pretty sure it was Anthony Stewart's head that was in touch.

Was definately Martyn....he ended up looking like one of the Mallerns.
