Last year Saints, Wire, Wakey, Wigan and Hull KR all took quite a large number and I cannot see as many going from these teams.
I think its becoming clear, moving it from cardiff was the worst thing they could do. The only plus side is that 4000 scottish fans will be there.
got more to do with them stopping it being derby ties IMO that and every game being on SKY, fans of most teams will be sat watching the TV instead of traveling for what is just a 'normal' SL game.
4 derby games was excessive and spoilt the appeal of them, but 1 home, 1 away and 1 on neutral ground would have been ideal IMO

I'd be surprised if it reached over 60,000 for the both days.

Craig Spence of the RFL was interviewed on one of our local radio stations last night (KCFM) and he said that they're expecting just short of 60,000 for the two days.
IIRC it was about 53,000 last year so there could be a slight increase but there are another 2 teams playing even if it is only Salford and Celtic.

I agree. And I'm not just saying that because we've been on a losing streak in recent years because it was same four or five years back when we had a long winning streak against Saints.
I don't mind the neutral extra one but it's too close this one is too close to the last one for my liking. Only been 3 weeks!

Last year's official attendance over the two days was given as 63,144 so 'just short of 60,000' would be a retrograde step especially as there's now 2 extra clubs in SL.

Cheers for that, only 10k out who said Rovers fans exaggerate attendances
I do think that playing at a ground with no roof on could be a major factor why the crowd might not be as much as the RFL want. We put up with sitting/standing in the rain/cold for 1 game but when some are going to be sat there for up to 4 games with no guarantee of staying dry then I think it will have a negative effect on the attendance.
I've just read that tickets will now be available to buy at Murrayfield right up to the final game. Desperate measures I think.

Not such a bad attendance then I guess with the capacity of the ground being smaller? if should be a good wkd.
