Where is your evidence that they prioritised their previous club as opposed to merely fulfilling their existing contractual obligations before moving to Toulouse?

What players have Toulouse brought in in the last few weeks?

Mr. Bowes has no evidence.

He is just a deeply depressed Midlander, with no professional rugby league team nearby, who is congenitally predisposed to pouring cold water on any project to build up French rugby league.

Mr Bowes has had this problem for years, and we who wish to see he growth of rugby league in France have had to endure his relentless negativity for years. Unfortunately there seems to be no cure for this kind of knee jerk negativity because he refuses to admit that he has a problem.

The French LER season hasn't finished - the play-offs have just started. Not that it matters to Toulouse as they haven't signed anybody since the NL season began.

One big thing that has changed in the past few weeks is discipline - they are now top of the fair play table. They conceded more penalties in their first two games over here than in all of the games since put together.

I think you're confusing the probable signing of top LER players at the end of the LER season and the Catalans' plan to lend UTC players to TO with the current squad.
The current TO squad play only for TO, they do not double up. Next year TO is hoping to field an LER and a Championship side (personally I doubt they will get the 50 players needed for this) with the LER side being their academy. Any signed TO players will not double up, unless it is an academy player stepping up to the championship - and said players would not, you would expect, dip back into the LER. Possibly TO will also use LER matches as "friendlies" for their championship squad.

All this is speculation though, as stands none of the TO players are doubling up, nor do they plan to.

Chose not to reply because I couldn't stop laughing!

So the 'achievements' of Celtic (ooh, a grand final) far outweigh anything that Widnes have ever achieved do they?

You probably wouldn't know this but Widnes were also runners-up in a grand final in recent years and that didn't result in them being promoted, did it?

And I'm the idiot!

Your awareness of how the game grew isn't too wonderful, though!

Why not respond to the rugby content of my post? Could it be that there isn't a response which supports your ideas?
