He says there is an option for next year, rather than
he's got an option. Hopefully the option is therefore in the club's favour and we can keep him for 2010 - iirc, when he signed it was reported as until the end of 2010. Not looking like the sort of decision that would need too much agonizing over is it?
That would at least forestall any predators for a year and give us a chance to extend his deal, before it starts run down.
With the cap we can compete with other clubs on wages - hopefully we can also start to be seen as the sort of club that can match the ambitions of the top players.
