Totally Agree. Frustrating that we didnt. Hopefully our eyes have been on Orford from 2010 onwards!

Even if he is on the £130k Dykes was its still money well spent

TBF Dykes is probably a 'better' player than Dobson, it's just the fact Dykes' never played but when he did he was awesome imo.

Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.

Quite sad, really!

SPOT ON!

As for Dobson - I could be wrong, but I don't think we had the cap space as he wanted to come mid-season.

Dead right, we needed to play the game and buckled under the pressure.

Didnt shifty miss nearly half of last season though through injury? and the odd game this season too

Just looked and he played 20 games last year and 9 so far this so his fitness is better the Dykes - as dykes played 12 but interestingly dykes made more tackles then shifty

This is what I am struggling with right now.

Prince - Signed a new deal this season.
Cronk - Signed a new 5 year deal last season.
Orford - Despite him being top class there is a chance he might just fancy SL. Last season he won everything there was to win both as a team and an individual. He won't play for Aus and probably won't get picked for Origin so he may be tempted to move.

I can't see us getting any of those three tbh and after that I am not sure who is available.

He was good, but 'awesome' he wasn't imo. Still think Dobson represents better value for money bearing in mind he plays every week.

Ok, I have asked this before, but why not Matty Head?

He seems to be injury free now, and available/ish.

Dobson proved how good he was at Catalan and Wigan, we should have signed him there and then. If we didn't have space on the cap for that year we should have given him what we had and made up the difference the following years.
Dobson is becoming a better player under an excellent coach as are most of the 'ordinary' players there, I don't think that that would be the case if he was here IMO.

exactly, nothing left for him to achieve, so lets make him an offer he can't refuse

one of the few 'name' players left in the game that would shift some shirts and passes as well
