Very rarely do they have a good thing to say about Wigan, and this was their little hobby horse yesterday afternoon. In particular Dave Hadfield, who has lost a lot of my respect of late.

As much as they're a bunch of clowns on Sky Sports, at least we don't have to put up with the BBC bitterness.

One thing is certain, Dave Hadfield is no friend to Wigan and never has been. The rest of the GMR team come over as being exactly what they are: small-time regional journalists who simply can't put their parochial prejudices behind them. The only one who ever seems to give us a fair crack of the whip is Phil Kinsella (think that's his name).

If we had cut out the basic errors we would have won that game by 30+ points.

Richards shouldn't have played this or last week, he's quite clearly carrying a knock. We have other options and to me, it seems we are over reliant on his kicking.

id love to see ainscough outside gleeson next week. George and Pat had a fantastic partnership last year.

Phelps to full back and give amos a week off. It's important we pick our players on form and amos is just lacking that killer instinct at the minute- saying that, I would take amos over calderwood every day of the week and I think that he will become a fantastic player for us given time.

If we look at Roberts form in comparison to Richards in his first season it compares very favourably. He hasn't been a nightmare signing by any stretch but looks to be abit unlucky due to circumstances and to me is likely to miss out next week.

I suppose this is the beauty of having a 'squad' for a change. Smith has been dropped, worked on his bad parts and come back a better player.

Roberts will do the same imo.

Roberts looks to me to have the beating of a man, but not the confidence to finish it off.

A 50 or 60yarder would do him the world of good. I would let him sit next week out, and go with Phelps at fullback and Ainscough and Richards on the wings.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Does that mean you'd move Ainscough, or Gleeson? May be a dumb question coming here, but would there be a big difference in a wingers game if he was switched to the opposite wing? Don't know how much of an impact this would make on a player, but interested in finding out if it could ruin someone.

Don't worry - It only seems kinky the first tiime you try it!

I am happy with the combinations at the moment. The left side clearly get the quicker more quality ball and Ainscough needs to be on the end of it. Having Gleeson on the right ensures that although they do get less quality ball, he is able to do more with it.

I know he has had some stick on here but i am looking forward to hopefully seeing Ainscough outside Pryce in the next few seasons think that could be a devastating partnership, once Pryce get back to full fitness.(hopefully)
