People have been whinging for years that Salford's crowds have been dismal yet I havent seen a single thread about the disgraceful crowds at Celtic Crusaders this year?
And please don't go on about them being a rookie club because the hype that they'd get a good following obviously hasn't materialized, so is this the future of Dickie Lewis's expansion baby?

Don't let it upset you so.
Deep breaths . . .

To be fair, that was the lowest crowd of the season so far and only the fourth home game. Crowds of approx 5,000, 6,000 and 3,000 have been recorded before that. Not bad for the first year and with no wins on the board.

I agree. I was against their inclusion as it was un-earned, but now they are in we should stop griping about their attendances and look to them improving, lets face it there are many an established club who would love those figures.
They are not far off their first win I am sure and I will be looking forward to my trip to South Wales with Rovers.
Good luck

Exactly, there are always going to be peaks and troughs in the attendances but I don't think yours are anything to worry about yet, indeed most are probably more than most from outside the area would have thought you would get. Hopefully you will get a win soon in order to grab the attention of more people and hopefully get more to your subsequent games.
But no matter what you do it is never going to be good enough for some people unfortunately.

4,372 is the average crowd figure this season in Wales
3,343 is the average at Quins RL....and Salfords is 4,945 and I personally think that us and Salfords crowds are more worrying than the welsh.
If you take it that we brought 300 to the Celtic game on Easter Monday, this means that Celtic Crusaders have 2,700 fans at present and this is their first year in SL. Once they get a couple of wins under their belts, they will see crowds grow again.
Salford and QuinsRL really need to buck up our ideas and quickly, because any team averging under 5,000 a game is an embarrasment.

The problem seems to be noone wants to watch a team that loses every game. Shame they couldn't have had another season in the Championship and come up next year as then they might be good enough to compete on the field with everyone else. As it is they might not win a game all season
