I rate Ainscough as the brightest talent in the game today, and have banged his drum on here for the last 2 years, but scoring 4 tries does not make you the MOTM. Smith ran the show, finally showing his quality. If he continues as he is and is willing to stay i would like to see him move to 7 next year with Tomkins taking the 6 shirt.

That being said Ainscoughs ability to finish is sometning very very special and in honesty I would not trade him for any other winger in RL at the moment, thats not to say he is the best player in the game on the Wing but he very well could be in a few years time.

im chuffed to bits that smith has been playin well these last 2 weeks, iv said it since we got him he will be a great player,ok his defence isnt the best but you very rarely get a quality ball handler and a qaulity defender in one package,something that must show to our fans and no disrespect for s tomkins but the last 2 times smith has played wigan have put 40 points on the board something we only did once with sam, but well played wigan

We play the majority of our attacking play down the left side.

I'm not taking anything away from the lad because he had to take in a couple of difficult passes to get those trys but we shouldn't make him out to be the worlds best(yet) when he cleary has things to work on.

I'm made him he's our player though and he will go on and become a superstar.

exactly no one calls for gardners head because he does a wingers job - he has a great centre who protects him defensively and that is what ainscough needs
