I personally think too much was made of Tommy under-performing at Half Back.
We've had a poor attack for years now and as much as I hate to say it since Cookie left. Last season we had the third worst attack in the league and for most of the season it was Berrigan and Washbrook at the helm but somehow they escaped criticism.
A big part of the problem is that our players dont assist our halves. They want to wait for the ball to come to them and provide very few options.
Its also no coincidence that we have had no quality at Scrum Half for a while yet have had plenty at Hooker and we now have two young players coming good in the Hooking position that started their rugby at Half Back.
