We need to shoot Al Davis now. He's taken a guy who would have been there around the 20s in the draft, why not trade down and take more picks? Then to follow it up with a guy nobody had heard of in the 2nd round. He was predicted as a 2nd day pick at best, so they take him before some 1st round quality Offensive Linemen, it really makes no sense.
We could have stayed put, taken Everette Brown at 41 and then got somebody at OT and a RB in round 3.
Totally agree, doesnt it mean that in theory we've giving up our second round our third round and Brett Favre for Clay Matthews

Yep.
Alot of people seem to rate Matthews but i'm not sure. If it was a 2nd and one 3rd i'd be somewhat OK with it. But two thirds is abit much.
Having said that, the way some people are falling i wouldn't be suprised if we get the guys we want in round 4.
Thompson has said that he was really high on Matthews so decided to pull the trigger.
Delighted with the Dolphins taking Davis and Smith at 1 and 2. Improves us bigtime in the deep.
Taking White looks like the Wildcat is going to be continuing for a while as well, his figures are very impressive at QB though, looks a fine pick. A bit of a reach though, I'm sure we may have got him at Round 3.
Reckon today will be about WR or LB.

It is only highlights though I belive?
Looking back some teams have severely messed up the draft!
Denver traded Jay Cutler and essentially got Robet Ayers (18th) and Alphonso Smith in round 2. They traded next years first (Not the Chicago pick) which could be in the top 5. I love Moreno but they could have got him at 18 and took Freeman at 12 or something. Terrible draft
Detroit. Without doubt the most inept team EVER. Stafford was the right pick. He needs protection though. They then take Pettigrew at 20, good player but TE's can be found later, they shouldn't have passed on Oher (who i hope has a fantastic career, his story is moving and everybody should want him to succeed) who was a potential top 10 pick. Then they take a poor safety instead of the next best tackle in Beatty or Britton. Absolutely terrible!
