As we have sen that our feeder club, TO, has struggled at the start of the year due to lack of friendlies, should we consider early planning for these now?
Obviously we get no say about the decisions, I think it would be a good idea to have a round-robin 3 team comp of TO, LER XIII and Catalans. If we could form a 4th team it would even be worth upping this into a proper competition and having a final, but where would the 4th team come from.

I like the round-robin idea. If you were going for a fourth side, then perhaps the overseas LER players, but unlike the President's XIII, that wouldn't be doing much for development. A Lebanese league select side would be a nice way to introduce their domestic players to a higher level.
I would have thought doing the opposite and inviting a Championship select side would be an option, giving a bigger challenge for TO and the LER Presidents.

For the Lebanease idea to fly there would need to be time for the best players to get there and money. This would possibly benefit the development of their comp, but would probably see them rolled over without the Australian Lebanease.
On the other hand the addition of a UK side would (possibly) interest the UK TV rights and would help develop palyers in that competition as well as providing a challenge to the French players.
