sporting life wrote:The court heard full-back Reardon, whose contract with Warrington Wolves has been terminated as a result of the incident, separated from his wife in February last year and began divorce proceedings in May.

But he said he was "heartbroken" when friends told him Mrs Reardon was having a relationship with a new man, Damon O'Brien.

Reardon asked St Helens stand-off Pryce to accompany him to Mr O'Brien's flat so he could "see for himself".

The defendants, who had both been drinking, went to the flat but when neither Mrs Reardon nor Mr O'Brien opened the door, Reardon sent a text message to his wife's new boyfriend, claiming their young son was in hospital.

He then shoulder-charged the door, breaking the frame and the lock.

Not something you do when you have a key or welcomed in.

So you were in court, and listened to it, then, did you?

Maybe you'd better dash a letter of to the Sporting Life, BBC etc. who are all reporting that:-

Quote:Reardon sent a text message to his wife's boyfriend, claiming their young son was in hospital.

He then charged the door, breaking the frame and the lock.

Unless of course on your planet, charging the door and breaking the frame and the lock doesn't count as forcing your way in?

No need to when the defendant admits guilt.

That could be argued.
