whereas previously most of the drama in my FC supporting lifetime (David Lloyd aside) was because the club was on the verge of bankruptcy every few years and had to flog any good players. Now we have everything in place to be a top 4 club, but the idiots in charge keep dragging us down.

Fair play to Simon Pope in that respect shows he's doing his job but as you say the club could have said SOMETHING instead of being economical with the truth.

The bottom line is (in my opinion) the club should never have gone for him due to his injury record alone....we have been burnt before (dykes) but we don't seem to learn from these experiences.
