Maybe we only signed him to provoke Humberside, to give the club an excuse to ban them again perhaps

You might in fairness have read it in the Dentists Diary

DANNY LOCKWOOD - LEAGUE WEEKLY (18-5-09)
I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.

Indeed fella we have had a fair few polite conversations over the years and although it made me chuckle as you can probably imagine for the real FC fans I do honestly feel for you.
But as you say some always want to spin it positive when sometimes you need to really start asking serious questions about those running your club.
Oh and BTW this isn't a troll post.

Okay your a bit foggy as to where and when you read it. Understandable considering your board live in a perpetual fog.
don't be silly Hutchie, he dashed off, had a meeting with Reardon, canceled the contract, updated the website...all in 30mins
I bet the people defending it would jump off a cliff if the board told them too
Shut up silly 2@..........at least we havent got another Dykes scnerio but are you privvy to what goes on....the scan results may have come through and everything is in place to cancell straight away....think we have done the right thing.
The board are complete bstards but we are stuuck with them as nobody will pay for us...simple as and if they go...NO CLUB.
“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.

IMO the website statement was written and ready to post some time ago. And what decision was necessary, exactly? His contract was dependent on a full recovery from his injury. He hasn't recovered. Hence, he's automatically released.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One
