if you had quoted the rest of my post you would have seen that i totally agree with you about not signing breirs because of his age.

You really could do without the baggage and presumed wage bill...you've got a good squad with good players there...not needed

i just think he needs to be signing a younger stand off, breirs isnt going to be still playing i wouldnt have thought by the time the franchise comes round and even if he is he would possibly only stay with us for 1 super league season even if he was still playing.

we need to be looking at younger options if you look at our squad the main bulk of our playmakr options are young enough to still have a good few seasons in them by the time the franchise comes around and i think that is what matt needs to be building for, i just dont think a player his age no matter how good he is is worth the money we would undoubtably have to pay for him when he wont be around for the franchised which is what we would ideally want.

Ill have you know Craven Park has had over 20,000 in it   ..................................... Before the P.C and Health & Safety brigade appeared

Oh yeah and long before my lifetime

Thrum Hall had over 33,000 in before the yellow lines, barriers and health and safety eventually reduced it to around 6,000. But times roll on.

Briers is a class player but i believe we would be better served giving more game time to the likes of the Bowmans, both of whom look very good. Lets face it if we do get into super league these two will have more of a future in the game than Briers.

Im not to sure what to make of it but it is in a few papers

The bit that interests me more is-

Quote:Wigan three-quarter Karl Pryce has turned down a loan move to Leigh Centurions,

Always thought Karl Pryce is a decent player, Would offer some cover/competition for the wing slots, can play at centre, and I'm sure he used to play Stand Off in the u21s at Bradford.

4 years ago he would have been an awesome signing.

However, a year of doing nothing in RU (Gloucester I think) and being injured or not match fit in 18 months at Wigan means he won't be the same player.
