He wasn't a bad player for us. Scored a few tries.

For Widnes I'd say our worst signing was Troy Wozniak.

Ben Walker is a bit harsh, he was awesome for that one afternoon against Bradford.
Also Powell has to take the blame for him been crap by playing him at full back.

Mullins and Clyde were miles worse.

Paul Franze for Cas wasn't great. Played one game and left because he couldn't hack the pace of the game.

I remember watching an academy match at Leeds when Salford were the opposition. Gray Viane was down to play at centre and had been named at 4 on the team sheet. Out come the teams and Gray is there and wearing the 14 shirt. On asking Alan Hunte why the numbers had been changed (with Daley Williams) he just turned round and said "Gray's a fat c*nt and didn't fit the shirt."

Terry Holmes is the one I thought of immediately on reading the thread title.

Other notable candidates include John Gallagher, Dai Young and, for the oldies amongst us, McDonald Bailey (Olympic 100m bronze medallist) who signed for Leigh in the 1950s and Arthur Rowe (European and Commonwealth Shot Putt gold medallist) who signed for Oldham in the 1960s. The last 2 played about 3 games in total between them I think.

Fielden was shot before he came to Wigan. He'd been nowhere near previous form for much of that season at Bradford.

Tame Tupou @ Bradford. Heralded as the replacement for Leslie and played 14 games over 2 years and eventually was 'sacked' for not training and may still go to court for compo.
