His valuation of the club when he wanted to 'sell it' anyway, was in cuckoo land.
So if you get relegated, you'll most likely come straight back up again.
With all respect, it's not like you're leeds. We got relegated.........with 100 million worth of debt.
It honestly is.
I see what you're saying mate, but people have found out how hard a task it is to get out of the Championship, especially first time of asking.
Ashley is trying to cut costs, and seems to be doing it at any consequence, tried to run the club on a shoestring, and when there have been funds available they have been spent on below par players like Nolan, Ryan Taylor and Lovenkrands (free transfer).

Hopefully it will be that bad then.
When leeds were in the sh*t, newcastle took a few players off us and your officials at the time were really smug about the whole thing.

So many people have been naive about our predicament. Fans, even the chairman couldn't 'entertain' ideas of relegation and right out refused to comment on the sitution, depsite the non-naive fans realising that with the way Ashley is running the club, we were and still are down s*it creek without a paddle.

In some ways the fans are too loyal as with other clubs gates would have dropped and the pressure mounted on the board.
Still don't think Newcastle will go down. Boro and Hull for me. I have thought that Stoke would go down from day 1 and it was only Saturdays win over Blackburn which made me think they will survive. Well done to them. Hull are in free fall and IMO will continue the slide. I thought Sunderland might get dragged into the mire but that was a big win on Sat over Hull.
We certainly go to the wire though.

I still think the more ''passionate'' element of newcastle fans carry some of the blame for the current scenario.
They've forced countless managers out and that lack of stability has contributed.
