Thats the second sunday home game weve had this season and personally, I think both have been better than the friday matches. Hot summery day with yer shorts on, pub before and after the game. No rushing home from work in traffic. Beltin

thoughts?

Lovely weather certainly helps. My 6 year old can enjoy the game more without the distraction of being knackered and I get to go home to a full roast dinner.

Couldn't agree more. Many Friday games that achieve 14/15k crowds would be 16/17k.

Personally, I know of at least a dozen people who came yesterday who don't come on Fridays.

The only downside for me is that a Sunday is usually a family day so we do stuff as a family. Go to Southport shopping, go to Robin Park shopping, go to Gemini shopping, go to Manchester....

shopping...

Hmmm

I prefer Friday nights to be honest.

There's nothing better than working all week and watching the game on Friday night, then having the whole weekend free.

Having the game on a Sunday takes up most of the day and you're unable to make other plans.

Correct, but would you be saying the same if yesterday was lashing down with rain, anything looks better when the sun is shining.

Yeah true regarding the weather but still, yer cant beat a full day of pubs and rugby. Thats another reason why away games are far better on sundays

I'd still go with Friday's, the atmosphere is better and it free's up the weekend.

Atmosphere always seems to be a bit dead when it's a day game, not sure why. Cracking weather though yesterday did make a change.

Fair play to those few Celtic fans who made the trip as well. I wasn't expecting any so to see 30-40 there is a good effort given it's early days.

There were quite a few I know who didn't go yesterday.

Sunny Sundays are not ideal for many - day-trips, barbecues and family dinners can get in the way.

That said, there's one upside to Sunday. If you get stuffed it doesn't spoil your entire weekend the way it does on a Friday.

Sundays have always been my choice, especially now I have nippers and it means I can take them and get them involved from an early age.
