The only player available is Brett Finch and I can't see it being him. He'll probably have trouble getting a visa because he once stole a TimTam wen he was 12!

I wouldn't have thought available cap space would allow for a 'massive' signing to be honest, but there again it's never held Saints back.

The comments on Sporthull's website are as reliable as Hull FC's pens

I know they are after a marque signing for 2010 but I hope we sign either a world class prop who can off-load in the tackle in the vein of puletua etc. or a world class hooker.

The team as a whole is strong in virtually every area but off-loading is an area I'd point to where we could improve.

And a hooker, nothing wrong with Fish or Fitz but we need a big step up in that department.

Whilst a marquee signing would be very nice the words 'cap' and 'salary' immediately spring to mind. With improved deals expected for Fox, Welham and Lovegrove plus the need to offer FT deals to a couple or three acadamy lads to meet the homegrown criteria, it is difficult to see where the money will come from unless there are to be quite a few players released. Plus there is the overseas players limits.

Some difficult decisions lie ahead.

Crocker

I believe that we are currently one under the quota with the early release of Crossman, and I think this is going to be Fitzy's last season with us, so that shoud keep us within the quota rules, plus the money from Fitzy should be enough for 2 or 3 Acadamy players contracts, all in all I think that if we get some of our key players on long term deals, there won't be many changes next year.
