Roberts unlucky to miss out, but i'd like to see how Phelps performs at FB and how Richards & Glesson work together. I was tempted to rest Ainscough, but I think Celtic could be a good chance for him to notch up a few tries.
McIlorum to be rested as I would like to see if Tomkins & Smith can work as a half back pairing together, he does a great job in defense but doesn't really lead the team from Dummy Half, which is where Leuluai could do the job quite well.
Gleeson and Roberts suit each others style and need time to gel and combine.
I'm confident that this centre/wing conbination will eventually work very well.

I agree although it is not quite clicking yet, there are signs it will, Roberts needs to stand a little deeper and i think much of the issue will be resolved.
Regards Ainscough, the lad clearly has made some errors but I think he seems to come back just as good and put in good performances off the back of them during a game and the following week.
How many times in the past have we seen players with potential make an error and simply capitulate during and in the following performances. Williams is a classic example and Robinson an example of how a player should react, he made some very basic errors in his early years dealing with kicks.
As long as Ainscough learns from his errors I see no reason why at this stage they are a bad thing, as lets face it we are going to win sod all anyway the way we are playing. I would also doubt Richards outside Carmont would finish half the chances Ainscough has and for that reason alone I think it would be a massive error to drop him.
If Phelps is to start I hope it is at 6 with Tomkins/TL at 7 or on the bench.

I still think they need a rest. What a pity - if it happens - that they miss what should be an easy-ish runout yet had to endure the Easter fixtures.
Ainscough unless he has a drastic dip in form should be playing in all the bigger games as his strike rate is one of our deadliest (only) weapon. It would do him no harm to sit out this one IMO.
I perhaps would not drop Sam T this week as he obviously could do with the confidence of playing against a weaker team and hopefully producing a better performance. I would like to see him link up with Smith in attack as I think he can do alot more for him than Tommy does.

Odd Selection when we have been complaining about being light in the forwards...

Noble says some of the younger blokes were looking abit fatigued during the catalans game and Phelps is a definate starter so i'm fully expecting one of Ainscough or Tomkins to be dropped.
A shameful decision imo because during the Catalans game we had bloke walking round with their hands on their hips and didn't seem to have a jog in them yet i don't recall the younger blokes being in that bracket!!!
Blame the youngsters............same old Noble i'm afraid.
