you what?
have you been? when Bates ran the show the budget swelled and work almost never happened, Mr walker was drafted in and the work overcame the technical problems and shot up. Without RW we wouldnt have a national stadium!

anyway with the funky roll ups they have over there we should be able to do it well quicker if it took the dutch 18 months! They must have had 6 meal breaks per shift!

I meant as a project it isn’t a good example, no slur meant on Mr Walker.

No think this is a prime example.

A project on the rocks, dogged by financial worries and former inept leadership (mr bates in the wembley fiasco & mr box et al in wakefields case), that was turned around by the leadership of a proven world class businessman and sporting fundraiser.

Good on you Wakey, and that from a 'granny' who loves visiting BV and like most of the FC fans wish you every success. ..........grannyfan Cindy

It belongs to ADO Den Haag, a Dutch premier football team, it holds 15,000 (slightly more than were looking at, but could be easily reshaped by cutting 1500 seats from each of the touchline stands).
It Cost 28M Euro's when it was constructed in 2007, thats aprox 24.6M Sterling, although i think when Sir Rodney gets final confirmation of the allocation of funds he will be able to get it done a good deal cheaper at present market climate. Builders are crawling over there mothers for work.
The ADO Stadium only took 18 months to build too, so if we get cracking by Nov next year could well be our last at BV!
Good times Wildcat fans 8) 8) 8)

Lets be a realist here. Im all for new stadiums and improve facilities at all clubs but planning permission for this stadium will take over a year. It is very early stages and whilst i hope cas, wakey, saints and who ever else want new stadiums get them. Cas are well ahead of wakey in preperation and because of the credit crunch, plans have been delayed.

Seems a bit quick that. Planning for such a project can take 12 months+ and thats if it doesnt get called in by the government. Next october is more realistic i think.

Saints aim to be in their stadium in 2011 and we've had planning permission for nearly a year.
