Very proud of City's performance last night. Great effort. Several members of the team were carrying knocks and we were missing a number of players. Vincent Kompany was a moster last night. He is playing with a leg injury and a toe problem. He has apparently had no feeling in his left foot during games (because of an injection) for nearly three months and he hasn't trained since March. I still think he is a defender rather than a midfielder but on some occasions he is a big, big player for us in the middle of the park. A real warrior.

Shame that amount of effort by the team has rarely been seen this season, in particular, away from home.

Could city's performance have anything to do with the fans? Imagine what would happen if they could fill the council house week in week out.

IIRC tickets were a £5er last night, I seem to remember getting given a load of flyers at Uni just before Easter.

There's only three English teams (off the top of my head) that have made any effort in the UEFA Cup in recent seasons.

City, 'Boro and Liverpool. I can't remember how Millwall did after they qualified a few years ago. It's quite embarrassing really, because like you say Villa, Spurs and Everton et al haven't got a chance of getting into the CL in the forseeable future.
