If it secured your future as a club would you share with Cas? I think that's more to the point. Well done on the ground though, hope it happens.

I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.

l can only answer that for me......but Yes!!

To be honest, and without wanting to turn this into a Wakey/Cas slanging match, quite lot of Trinity fans has suggested this in the past........it does seem however that it was/is the Cas club and their fans that have been against this.........they want to 'go it alone', good luck to them!

OK then let me put it another way.

If you were still at the Boulevard & H.K.R were still at Craven Park, would the two clubs & more importantly the fans, come to an agreement as to where the new stadium was to be sited?

Don’t get me wrong, I couldn’t care less where the new ground is, I travel from Filey, but if a joint ground was located in Glasshoughton or Stanley, then the supporters who ‘lost out’ would feel like it was only a matter of time before the dreaded merger would come their way.

Sharing with the round ball is one thing, but with your buddies in the east, and the threat of a merger………

Good move by Wakey best of luck with it. It's extendable which is the key. If the initial size was determined by the amount of money available then it has to be better to build at 12k capacity and extend later than not build at all. Hope it all goes to plan.

Well seen as both clubs dont consult the fans, then id say that didnt matter anyways

But yes, if that was seen as they way forward then i wouldnt mind.

And im sure that they would have sited it in a fairly central place

although i wouldnt mind if it was in the east of hull , nice and handy for me then

To small for me i would at least have it at 15k and yes i think the 3k would make all the difference. Doncaster's stadium is nice and they are a few div below aren't they?

Great to see the good responses from the FC fans, decent lot as always.

We don't worry about standee, he hates Wakey and never misses an opportunity to slate us for something.

Cheers guys (and gals!)

Realistic size?
Small club, small ambitions?

Ok we'll build a massive stadium, half fill it (how will our attendances double in a year?), suffer from high overheads, expences etc
Glad your not in charge of the project!

Good news for Wakey if it comes off, i like the size as there is nothing worse than an empty stadium.

another point is quite a few amateurs from stanley go to other clubs rather than wakey (dean sampson, chris chester, mark aston) siting a stadium here may help prevent such a drain (thacks is also from stanley)

Yep, spot on - come off at M62 J30, turn left and you are there. Seven pubs within a mile or so and a couple within walking distance.

Does this mean you will bring even more fans than you normally do?
