If wakefield had come out with plans for a 25000 stadium, people wouls say its pathetic, they'll never fill it etc. NOw they have proposed a realistic 12000, they are still getting stick.

i know why you have hit back and it quite remarkable to see such a high figure , but lets get back at the point in hand 12k is a comfortable figure for wakey . lets not forget that if you have the facilities and capicity you get the franchise points but if your average attendance is lower than (**%) can not remember then you lose a point .

its remarkable that 1 hull fan in particular mocks us for well thought out and proportioned plans , yet is one of the Belle Vue crap hole gang

anyway like its still got to be built but then again the club hardly battered an eyelid when the stadium was knocked back so perhaps teds been sitting on plan b for quite a while and in the process got the plight of the club in the media.

this could end up being one of the biggest success stories the history of SL

Accepted, but it was to start with?

However I'd always accept we are a smaller club than Hull anyway. 12,000 is more than enough for us and this site is plenty big enough to expand.

Don't worry, there isn't a good-news story in the whole of the rugby league world that won't be knocked or sneered at by some sad twa.t.

God luck, I look forward to going there, and I hope someday it will need extending.

Vasty,

Wakie v Hudds in the 2011 final playoff eliminator will attract more than 12,000. Congrats on the great news.

Shows what a small club Wakefield are, and are happy to remain.

I would say the mark of a small club would be having to rent a stadium because they cant afford to build one or being bailed out by another club. Just like Hull

Has anyone here heard of the global recession?

Is the stadium going to be funded by government stimulus spending funds?
It is hard to imagine a private consortium sticking its neck out in these times of tight credit.

If not government funded, which decade do you think it might get started? Last time I checked, the decision on 2012 SL licenses is to be made in early 2011.
