Really?

Wow.

Just out of interest, what were No. 1 and No. 2 in your comprehensive logs, prior to this fateful day?

Not only him but his 2 assistants or lines men in old money where abismal. When is the rugby football league going to accept that some of our officials are down right useless. Forward passes are the main bone of contention with me every team in the league do it and get away with it. I can't believe that the league dont know it is happenning it is killing the game I can understand why Justin Morgan went off things that are happenning now are costing coaches there jobs. It is ok saying you must respect referees and officials but surely they must earn the respect if no one criticises them they must think they can walk on water all I can say is GET A GRIP Mr Lewis before the game collapses around you.

probably because it was on monday

im sure despite your location as east hull and your whinge about MONDAY that your neutrality has been noted

BBC Report wrote:The Rugby Football League has charged Hull KR coach Justin Morgan over comments he made about referee Ben Thaler on Easter Monday.

Morgan said Thaler's performance in the Super League defeat to Huddersfield was "substandard" and suggested he should "spend some time learning the rules."

The Rovers coach will face charges of misconduct and breaching the RFL's Respect policy.

The charge is breaching rules that club officials should not criticise
(a) the character of a referee or
(b) the manner in which he has controlled a game.

Good. I hope he is taught a lesson.

£4000 Fine, £2000 of which is suspended until the end of the season

Morgan handed £4,000 fine for referee comments

Hull KR coach Justin Morgan has been fined £4,000 after he was found guilty by an RFL Operational Rules Tribunal of misconduct and breaching the RFL’s RESPECT policy.

Morgan must pay half of the fine within the next 28 days whilst the remaining £2,000 will be suspended until the end of the season and will only be paid if he is convicted of a similar offence.

Should Morgan fail to pay the fine, which will go towards the RFL's RESPECT campaign, within 28 days then he will be suspended. He will then only be allowed back to work once it is paid.

The fine follows comments made by Morgan about match official Ben Thaler on Easter Monday at the conclusion of the match between Hull KR and Huddersfield Giants.

The RFL Operational Rules state that it is an offence for any Club official to criticise the character or manner in which a referee has controlled a game in which a Club has taken part in.

At the hearing Jim Spencer, Chairman of the RFL Operational Rules Tribunal, said: "Everybody in the game is entitled to respect."

Its about time the RESPECT was reciprical, the RFL show none to the fans or players by churning out sub-standard referees.

and of course YOU can do better!

What is THE standard for match officials?

Do you REALLY know, cos I don't and will openly admit it, but I DO KNOW they are human, make mistakes and are impartial.

If you or Mr Morgan cannot cope with that then it is YOUR problem to deal with.

He dealt with it in his way and was penalised for it.

You have the luxury of these forums.

In his position he should lead by example and if that is by any definition a good example then fine, the game will go to the dogs and if thats what people want then so be it.

when players make mistakes they get paid less and abuse from fans
when coaches make mistakes they get the sack and abuse from fans
when referees make mistakes they get appointed to the the finals and big games (and abuse from fans)

Morgan made his cheap-shot comments in the full knowledge that the referee had absolutely no right of reply.

There are established channels to direct criticism of match officials, any coach or player who decides to take the cowards option deserves a fine.
