I'm a Rovers fan but it wasn't the ref who got outjumped for a ball on his own line to concede a try, sprint the length of the field to score from one of our kicks, drop the ball when we finally got in the opponents 20, not even make touch from a penalty, it was just a bad day at the office after fridays big game.

Stood on the 40 meter line in the east stand the giants appeared to be off side on every play & the number of forward passes that went unnoticed was disgracefull (mainly down to non of the officials being in line with the ball carrier at any time in the match) . Even allowing that most of us wear red tinted specs you do not normally get that much chanting at the ref at Craven park so somthing was out of the ordinary on Monday, if the video shows that the giants were that fast & timed the reaction to the play the ball that good then fair play to them & lets find out how they learn that. I suspect the ref had a bad day(again).
well if its anything like the poor reffing we had against salford! where even shaun McRae was agreeing that their match winning try was "forward"
nothing will come of it! complianing does NOWT!

would that be the same match against Salford that your fans were saying on your board you also scored from a forward pass?
I personally don't think Huddersfield did anything wrong, they slowed the play down as much as the ref let them, they played the 10 the ref let them and they passed in a manner the ref thought was acceptable. Good luck to them, they played a game that disrupted us to a maximum and won a game they deserved to win.
Thaler on the other hand should have reffed this game in a similar manner to the games he refs when on sky, he keeps a good 10, penalises laying on and listens to his linesmen. The linesmen get a raw deal, its a well known fact that the linesmen offer an opinion of offside and forward passes into the refs ear, its up to him if he does anything about it. I believe in the FC v Salford cup game the lino called the forward pass, Ian Smith decided it wasn't and let the play stand only to later admit he got it wrong... cold comfort for the FC fans.
The ear piece refs wear is in my opinion giving linesmen and in touch judges a hard deal, in the old days the lino flagged a forward or an offside, now they don't get that luxury so he may be calling everything but getting over ruled and the outcome is he looks like he's crap. The only time the ref listens is if the lino has the audacity to come on the field.
If you remember rightly last years disallowed try in the saints game on the hooter was only disallowed due to the lino standing his ground at the halfway line to call a made tackle or Thaler would have given that try, the lino was waving for ages on that and being ignored.
I'm glad Justin said what he did, maybe just maybe the RFL will look at this and agree, even if it is all done behind closed doors and never published, this would give Thaler the kick up the ar5e he needs.
I would like to see Justin request a viewing of the match video alongside Stuart Cummings so he could explain why he believes Justin was wrong to critcise the ref, or would that be too transparent.

Has anyone complained about Hudds in these threads, they just played the ref very well.
