But isn't it a waste of cap space to have signed so many backs? We are loaning out Goulding having signed Gleeson so why not loan out one of the young props if we had signed Ryles for example? What's the difference?
What you want to do is spend the cap money effectively and if you can see a problem in the pack, have the money available and cap space (which we clearly as we signed Gleeson) to buy a prop then not doing so is either just stubborn or simply illogical.

If you dont believe me - remember this date and what I have posted when it happens!!
What's the point of keeping him then other than for financial reasons? Do you not think that carrying on as we are we are going to undo a lot of hard work that has been done by the club with regards to getting attendances up? Even if we have a temporary coach for half a season i think the way things are at the moment stability is a negative, not a positive.

I don't know - maybe they rate Prescott and O'Carroll more highly than they rate Goulding. I certainly do. Maybe Ryles was asking too much money - apparently we enquired about him.
But it's not as if we didn't need a strike centre.
But I agree in principle. Our pack has been weak for quite a while now. It's time we bolstered it.

Its very easy for people to sit here and say why didnt we sign him or him but in reality whilst for example Ryles was available was he the kind of prop we wanted? He didnt seem anything special to me other than scoring his try. Not only that we know with Roberts already being signed for next year that the club are signing players well in advance if possible. Maybe Noble and IL already have a world class prop signed for next year? Maybe they even have 2? Maybe they offered Ryles a one year contract as a stop gap but he wanted longer and they were not prepared to give it him?
Who knows but one thing is certain,i am pretty sure Noble is not happy with the front row that he has at the minute and im sure he will be worried by Fieldens form as he is supposed to be the pack leader at Wigan.
