Even Five? They must want it!!! :)

Sky are the best broadcast partners we can have, in terms of coverage and cash. People may not like having to pay for it, but it's better than the alternative...

I would love for us to have all the games shown each weekend like over the pond that would be great, or for Sultana to actually show more than one game per week

EDIT:- Found the SKY figures and there are no RU internationals in october on there?

Seems that the ad revenue and demographics of us flat cappers is poor.
We should take a reduced deal from the Beeb on the basis they 'update' their coverage...but then that's another argument.

not true either

it costs more to advertise during a SL game than a GP game.

It's a different culture over in Oz.

They are prepared to have Sport on at peak times as the norm, rather than us just with major football games (Champions League).

Over here, no sport's main league tournament is shown on terrestrial TV, whereas it is in Oz.

We need to get Simon Cowell interested in League. Then we could have the X(III) Factor on ITV 1at 6.30, ITV 2 at 7.30, ITV 3 at 8.30 and 24hrs a day on ITV4 8)
Let's face it, whilst the media is run by tarquins and germimas from Uxbridge, League will never get a proper look in............

simple : the demographics of viewers and the advertising revenue they can get from each sport.

compare the two: Super League on Sky Sports is sponsored by Irn Bru, RU by Guiness (I think). Look at the adverts shown between games: debt consolidation and personal injury lawyers in Rugby League, high profile car companies in RU.

That's because League eschewed the alcoholic dollar, whereas Onion is desperate enough for the cash not to care.

Who? GM?? Anyway that's because the ads during the RL target the Tarquins who have smashed their car up, and can't afford the repayments.

Maybe true going off viewing figures alone, but their better deal will surely come from their internationals. Their European cup pulls in 3/4 of a SL game viewing figures so there is more potential revenue for them.

SKY choose who sponsor their own programmes.

This isnt right, your comparing different sponsorships. Super League is sponsored by Engage and the Premiership is sponsored by Guiness. Irn Bru replaced Stan James and has a little ad before games come on sky, I dont know if rugby union has the equiverlant I dont watch the games.
