Ryles and numerous other props moved in the off season, why didn't we go for one.
These are questions that need to be answered. But they won't be, if there is even the slightest chance that IL will look bad.
Roberts was signed 12 months too soon and only signed to stop him going somewere else. If hes a world class international pivot player then fair enough but IMO to do this for a decent NRL winger is bad management from whoever sanctioned the signing. Maybe Noble did realise we needed a good 6 (he should of we all did) so why would IL go for a winger? It all makes no sense to me.

Exactly, we already had wingers and fullbacks who could do the job that is currently being done, perhaps better.
This is why questions need answering - who sanctioned the signing?

We never replaced Barrett, a class 6 and having 3 7s will never work esp when Smith isnt worth a w#nk to us. Noble brought Smith in so the buck stops there with that 1.
I agree with you on that, and I think to a certain extent we have never replaced Fletcher either. We don't seem to have a player who will put his hand up time nad time agian. The last time I saw that was with Phelps agianst saints, but he can't keep his place!
I think Barrett papered over a lot of cracks for us, he took some stick in his second year from me, but now he's gone I realise how much he did. He was always 3 plays ahead of us, and we never ended up in the situation we did last night, with Roberts stood still on the wing, ball in hand, not sure what to do at all.

We won less than half our regular SL games last year - are you suggesting that's acceptable?

Exactly.
We were in the hunt for a 6 and we got........a winger and more recently a centre (which good though I think Gleeson will be for us, was not a priority position imo).
It's clear to anyone that IL is championing "English born players". He hardly ever stops banging on about it.
Well that's all very well and good, but quite frankly we need a prop and a 6, just as we did at the start of the year. Whether they are English, Australian or Swedish is irrelevant.
The fans can see that, how difficult is it for the Managment/Coach to see it?

You implied that people shouldn't be whinging because we were winning games playing "boring rugby" last season. As I pointed out, we won less than half our regular SL games last season AND played boring rugby.

We never replaced Barrett, a class 6 and having 3 7s will never work esp when Smith isnt worth a w#nk to us. Noble brought Smith in so the buck stops there with that 1.
NEXT, signed Roberts when everyone knows we needed a prop, Noble takes the blame for that one again.
Riddell, i think will be a good signing if we get someone with discipline in to coach, apparently all Piggy wants to do in training is act the mick. An IL signing not Nobles he wanted Randall so you cant blame Nobby for the signing.
Mathers, well its anyones guess why he was kept on, Lydon apparently said hes the worst full back hes seen in professional rugby.
Recruitment has been poor IMO, no balance to the signings, desperate for a forward but invested heavily in backs, Mathers, Smith, Phelps, Pryce, Roberts.
I got told something very interesting today off a very reliable source - regarding recruitment and it shed's new light on the situation at Wigan.
Not too sure if I should post it up on here but I'll gladly PM.
