We ARE the big boy's! You're right about the pack though.
WE WON IT AT WEMBLEY - AND THEN AGAIN AT WEMBLEY - AND THEN AGAIN AT WEMBLEY - AND THEN AGAIN AT WEMBLEY - AND THEN AGAIN AT WEMBLEY - AND THEN AGAIN AT WEMBLEY - AND THEN AGAIN AT WEMBLEY - AND THEN AGAIN AT WEMBLEY - EIGHT TIMES - WE WON IT EIGHT TIMES - (IN A ROW!)

Apart from we mixed it up with you guys last Thurs and this is the same pack we had last year which handed it to Leeds almost every time they played them?
Edwards isn't a miracle worker but as a man motivator who doesn’t pull any punches he must be able to get better performances out of Lockers, Tomkins, Fielden & Riddell.
There are far to many players who aren’t playing to their potential or getting better at Wigan. It’s Nobles job to get the best out of HIS players and he’s seriously failing at it.

I wouldn't be suprised if Edwards was earning close to £1m per year in his various coaching roles, this at the start of his career.
Why would he come back to RL knowing the finances aren't there to buy players and he'd eventually lose any world class stars to RU, that's before his personal wages are taken into consideration.
Edwards is now an international sporting personality, the sad truth is he's outgrown RL, unfortunately the powers that be appear content to let the RU/RL gulf widen.

I simply cannot believe that Noble would go into a season with a lightweight pack. It's so "not his style" it's untrue.
So what is it?
BN has a complete change of character from his Bradford days?
IL meddling in transfers?
BN massively overestimating some of the present Wigan forwards?
I would love to know.
As would I. This is what has bugged me most since our squad was finalised, it isn't a BN squad on paper. So who is making the buys, if it is IL, he needs to stop now, or just bloody coach them himself.
Edwards won't come, he would command £££ and our chairman wouldnt pay it.

Saints were poor last Thursday and looked very tired after a tough game at Headingley 4 days earlier. We'll see how close our next meeting is at Edinburgh. I get the feeling from your POV, it won't be pretty.

Isn't Noble supposed to be a brilliant motivator?
Whilst I think Noble isn't doing a great job for Wigan at the minute, I think some of you guys over-estimate how good your team is. You're a 4th placed side at best. Your pack is very average and without a quality prop or two, you won't compete with Saints and Leeds for the trophies.

This will never happen for atleast 4 or 5 years get it out of your heads
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
My point was players like Fielden turn up for one or two games a season then are pi$$ poor for all other games. As much as I hate to admit it a tired Saints pack is still better than most in SL and we stood toe to toe with them? Where is this spirit against a poor Hudds pack for example containing superstars like Carbtree, Mason & Moore? Or against and injury ravaged Wakey side?

If he was then I’m sure we shouldn’t be having the consistency issues we’ve had since he joined us. If he could motivate his team every week like he does when we face Leeds then we wouldn’t be in the situation we currently find ourselves in. Every year since he’s been here we’ve gone from major highs to despair in the space of seven days never mind weeks! I’ve yet to see what is a capable Wigan side back a good victory up with another one straight after.

The thing is you say we are a fourth placed side but we aren’t playing like one nor are we near that position. We are a far better team that can play a couple of levels above what we doing now. There are far to many Wigan players underperforming and Noble has to take the blame for this.

Noble is definitely under-achieving, no doubt about it. He has done every season at Wigan in terms of league position, but has been saved by a dramatic late surge in the Play Offs.
My main point, is that whilst he's not doing a great job, Shaun Edwards isn't a going to work a miracle and get you fighting for the title, not with these set of players. Shaun Edwards isn't even a proven coach, so I'd be aiming higher than to be honest.
