What a lot of people in the UK seem to have ignored is that Nathan Brown had become a very good NRL coach a few months before he left Australia.

Nathan was a player who retired early and who remade his career as a very young NRL coach. He had started off badly with St George (remember the face slapping incidents, with among others, Trent Barrett?), and they were languishing near the bottom in early 2008, and so the club management decided not to renew his contract. But then, almost as soon as he found that he was on the way out, lo and behold he got the team to improve itself massively, to the point that he were decent playoff contenders by the end of last season.

Nathan Brown could probably get rehired in the NRL if he so desired. But for now he is proving to most Super League fans that he is a top class coach, and he is taking Huddersfield to great new heights.

I only hope that now Huddersfield Giants will start to average over 10,000 to their home games, because they sure deserve it.

They won't be far off, certainly top 3 if they maintain their form and stay injury free.

They wont maintain their form though. They are over achieving and then some. They will finish about 5th, you mark my words.

With Les Catalans starting to regain their form of last year, we can expect them to make their way up the ladder, especially during the summer when the other teams collapse in the heat of southern France.

Expect the top four to be St Helens, Leeds, Huddersfield and Les Catalans.

The next four is not so clear, though Harlequins should be there, and Wakefield will likely wilt as other teams improve.

Ahh, so it won't be the rugby but the weather which pushes Les Catalans up the table then?

This is the same team that lost their last 8 games last year - when it was hottest...

Well according to some SL coaches, its only the refs that have got huddersfield to 2nd.

If they had Thaler every week they'd be unbeaten all season, win the Grand Final and get the record score in the CC final

TBF, Huddersfield looked a good team.
