Agreed, we have all fell foul of poor decisions as well as been the beneficiaries of them, but my point about yesterday is that it was his LACK of decisions that made it a poor performance, its all well and good to have a game 'flow' but if that means you totally ignore the rules, then we could save money and not bother having officials at all. I am a great believer in letting the game settle and the ref to give a few warnings, but not to totally ignore rules altogether, which seemed the case yesterday.

You lost, get over it. Your coach's diatribe was embarrassing. He's nearly as bad as you.
You sir are an idiot, its one thing to accept you were beaten by the better side on the day, but to have the defeat compounded by a totaly inept and incompetent display by a referee who imo should be demoted to the lower leagues, as he simply is not up to super league standard.
Honestly speaking, he is in my top ten worst referees in 41 years of watching rugby league.

Stan Wall apart, Thaler is the worst.

Not my words, but the ones from a qualified referee stood near us.
The policing of the Hudds defensive line was at best incompetent, they were offside at 90% of all the plays, so much that Crabtree managed to get to the first receiver as he caugt the ball, which makes him quicker than Usain Bolt.
I also estimate at least 20 forward passes, including two in the build up to Wilds try, how they were missed was unbelieveable. JM said on Humberside that the officiating was diabolical, I personally thought it was so biased it was bordering on cheating by Thaler.
Why the hell was Robinson not sent off for his professional fould on Cooke, we have seen a minimum of sin-binning for this most of the time.
Thaler is a disgrace, I hope the club put in a strong protest to the RFL, he is also a coward, he left the field after shaking the hands of the some Hudds players and never attempted to do the same for any Rovers player.
very poor that.mayeb he didnt shake hands with any rovers players cos they had all disappeared down the tunnel?
i can honestly say it became tiresome after about 30 minutes of listening to the rovers fans boo, scream and wail at everything!
surely if we were breaking the rules and throwing 20 forward passes( ) then a professional referee would penalise us for it?
i hope your club does put in a complaint because then maybe it will stop any referee in future allowing the home fans to try and influence his decisions

I'd guess JM has aired the greivances of the vast majority of the fans at Craven Park yesterday. I know from speaking to a couple of the players their opinion of his performance and perhaps the referee controller could see a video of the match.....and drop Thaler from officiating till he decided to implement the rules.

Actually they were all stood behind the goal line waiting for the kick, he was stood next to the kicker and immediately shook hands with Giants players and did not wait for the Rovers players to come over before he 'fled'
Unsportsmanlike to say the least.
Stood where I was I would say 20 was conservative, unless they have changed the rules recently. We all know when a crowd is trying it on, but believe me it was way past that, there were people stood near me who usually are quite placid and they were spitting feathers at some of the things he let go.

if thats the case then im sure thaler has a case to answer but seriously the east stand appealed for everything yesterday to try and help them out
was it dobson who kicked a penalty straight into our hands? i didnt hear much complaining about that or the dropped balls by your players what contributed to our win

I'm sure that you lot are correct when saying that we were offside quite a lot. I'm also convinced that your team were far from angels and were also offside. However, being seated in the £20dump I have no way of telling.
Our holding down waas shorter than most teams - and KR held down just as long/short.
The tackling issue has been all the way to Mr Cummings. Even Boots & All has done a feature on it. Nothing wrong. Absolutely nothing.
From what I have seen of Mr Thaler this season [twice before today] he treated us no different to the opposition, & the opposition no different to us. He lets the game flow - none of your stop/start Mr Ganson stuff - ignores the 'minor' offences but pulls up the 'major' ones.
He is by far the best referee I've seen for a long time.
No wonder you think that. Personally I thought he was totally inadequate, he ruined what should have been a good game by his complete inability or interest to police the offside rule.

Our players were knackered from a tough game on the Friday night and your players being consistantly offside didn't help their energy levels much. Can't fault your boys for exploiting that though.
Thaler was p*ss poor, Rovers were knackered, Huddersfield were good. That's about it.
