Well i never, i think we may have a Dons team with some balls. We may not have the most skilled players but we do seem to have unearthed some passion, pride and bottle that was sadly missing against Gateshead. Tonight is why i come to watch the Dons, total underdogs but really gave it a go in the second half. I thought defensively we were superb, the Widnes tries were excellent and i think the top teams in this league would have struggled to stop at least 2 of them. It was also really good to see the lads pick their game up when the crowd got behind them. Can't really pick anyone out for special praise, just thought it was a really good effort with the basics being completed really well.
Well done to all the lads and thanks for restoring my faith.

Thought we were on for a drubbing at half time, but the whey they rolled their sleeves up second half was very pleasing to see. Massive effort for the last 25 mins cos we had no replacements and they must have been out on their feet. Good game, not a bad turn out and full praise for the Widnes turn out but boy oh boy you have to be on Valium to be a Vikings fan. Frustration in spades I would say. Once again well done to the lads for the effort, nothing wrong with the attitude for the second game in a row Oh and who ever was responsible for getting Paul Handforth to the Keepmoat well done that person.
I agree very disappointed widnes fan once again.Bad recruitment of players once again mate. But well done to your team.We expect our team to be aiming for winning this league and we need new signings.
That was fantastic stuff in the second half. I also thought we were on a hiding to nothing tonight but the way the lads played tonight has given me
hope for the rest of the season. If we keep inproving (bearing in mind the players we have to come back) we should be ok in this division.
Tony Miller must have said some good stuff at half time. We won the 2nd
half 18 - 4.
Well done to Tony and the lads.
COYD.

I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's game....even though we lost.
Brilliant effort by the the team in defence and in forward attack.
Great to get a bonus point against a faster, slicker Widnes team.
I thought that we were hard done by by the officials in the first half.
Three examples were a Widnes player lashing out with his foot at the play the ball, a blatant forward pass on the half way line resulting in Widnes' third (?) try and Webster conning the ref with his chip and dive.
Anyway second half we were the biz.....superb effort....and the Donny supporters got behind the lads with singing and chanting and clapping.....like days of old...MAGIC!
4 points over Easter when we could have got none = RESULT!
COYD The table. Where was Kyle Briggs?

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.
I admit when I'm wrong and I'm so happy to be able to say it.
I said to my lad yesterday afternoon that it would be a good result to keep them down to less than 50. At 20-0 at half-time, I wasn't looking forward to seeing it this morning. To get a bonus point off them is beyond my wildest dreams.
I'm even considering making the trip to Halifax on Sunday now!!
Restored my faith and made me proud to be a Don again.
Glad to hear that Paul Handforth is becoming the scrum half we need.
