At the moment... the best 2 teams in this comp are you guys and Barrow - simple as.
We have started very average but we have a lot of new players and the bulk of em are young guys.......just want us to keep improving this season and be a top team next season.

Barrow have really surprised me. I didn't expect them to come into the league and be so competitive straight away. They must have a lot of money behind them but regardless, they are getting the results and that's what matters.

I think it's great to have two good teams up in Cumbria. It adds to their local rivalry.

You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how ya gonna have a dream come true?

Are you claiming all you are entitled to? www.debtadvicenetwork.org then go to "Self Help" then "Benefits & Entitlements".

Cullen needs to get the players under his charge switched on or shipped out. Haven't they had to play both Barrow and Fax away in the league so far - in hindsight not the easiest matches?

They lost to Barrow in the NRC

Money is not everything as Widnes are showing. Fax and barrow have great team spirit as have Whitehaven for so long and why they are a tough team to beat as they know each other and are a family-I think thats what Barrow and Fax are building towards a settled team with a good mix of experience, youth and local players as well as not forgetting players who will give 100% and professional even if they are not the most talented-Larder, Roberts etc (Thats not saying they are not crap neither).

I too am surprised by Barrow but good on them and the more tougher games and rivalrys we have the better the league will be. I would rather see fax face tough opposition each week and made to earn a win than win easily. And it also means crowds are more interested in close games-more money. And IF Fax win something this year its been well earned if we have to play tough against Widnes, barrow, Leigh, Haven than with respect the easy win of Batley

Those in charge at Widnes who sacked McCormack earlier in the season must feel satisfied with their efforts, I'm a fan of Cullen but they've lost more than they would expect to lose in the entire season.

I wouldn't exactly call the 2 sides I watched yesterday "good teams" infact I'd call them very poor teams, there wasn't one bit of good rugby between them. If we're to stand a chance of beating you lot on Monday then our performance has to be a good 80% better than anything we've produced so far this season (that's obviously if Halifax turn up and play well). I can't see us beating Halifax. I'd say from what I've seen so far we're in for a season where Widnes, Whitehaven, Barrow and Leigh are going to pick up points off each other and lose the odd game against the rest while Halifax just walk away with it.

Don't forget though mate that we never seem to perform up there. We've got to overcome a mental barrier aswell as a physical one

I expect us to struggle big time in Whitehaven as ever and am expecting us to lose to be fair by 6-10 Points. Whitehaven have a great team spirit and make the Rec a fortress. I respect Haven a lot and they often show you do not need a big budget to compete with the Cas, Salfords, Widnes teams of the past and present. I hope the financial problems are not too major for them and that it does not stop them from being a tough team to beat. The more competitive (Both on and off the field)the League is the better for us all.
