Adamson was by far the best platyer on the pitch yesterday IMO. If he keeps on turning in performances like yesterday's he will be a Salford legend (as long as none of the big clubs nick him!) Big mentions for Wilshere, Swain & Stapo too. Myler had a decent game but it was certainly the 2 tries that won him the MOM. Although a great win the match wasn't the greatest spectacle but conditions obviously played their part. I think most fans can now see a chink of light at the end of the tunnel and know that although we will get a few tonkings there will also be some good days to look back on at the end of the season. If we can maintain some sort of defensive stability we will start to compete more.
Finally, a few words on Warrington. If I was a Wire fan (which thank god I'm not
) I would be asking some serious questions. How a team with so much alleged
"talent" on the pitch can look so poor is beyond me. Monaghan, Anderson & Westwood looked distinctly average and I can only remember Screech touching the ball once when he took the short kick off which led to their last try. On yesterday's showing I would be amazed if they finsih anywhere near the top 6.
